Port and Harbour Warehouses

Affordable and durable port warehouses and harbour structures, specially designed for bulk storage and handling in a marine environment

Port Warehouses And Storage Solutions

Ports are fast-moving. Your port building should be made to fit in with the demands of that busy environment.

If it's a port storage warehouse, it should be designed to ease bulk material handling and simplify fast turnover in line with your supply chain.

And if it's any type of port structure, it should be built to withstand harsh marine conditions so your bulk storage, machinery, vehicles and personnel are properly protected.

With that in mind, here's our cost-effective solution to building a port or harbour structure that's ideal for you:

Custom Port Warehouse Design

Port Structure Types

Efficient port and harbour structures don't need to be cost prohibitive.
For harbour handling and logistics we have two models: steel-framed tensile buildings and steel-framed modular buildings.
As national specialists in tensile construction, our high strength steel-framed tensile structures are ideal for harbour storage and port applications. Here's why:
Port Storage Logistics Building

Affordable Port Buildings

By design, tensile harbour warehouses need very little maintenance compared with conventional port building alternatives (such as portal frame).
By investing in a permanent port structure you'll be protected against increases in storage rent and future space shortages.
You'll also have a valuable asset to sell on or rent out should your needs ever change.
Fast Port Construction

Fast Construction

Collinson tensile port and harbour warehouses have many advantages. They:
  • Require less groundworks than traditional and portal frame buildings
  • Use less materials
  • Are quicker to build and easier to expand if space needs increase
  • Are primarily prefabricated in a controlled factory environment
Port Construction

Experienced Team

The above-listed advantages mean construction of your port building can be undertaken quickly.
You'll benefit from a swift and reliable team:
Both because they’re experienced, and because we’ve engineered our port construction process to disrupt your harbour site as little as possible.
Sensitive Material Harbour Storage

Store Sensitive Materials

Our harbour structures are custom-built to withstand harsh marine conditions and can be designed to store sensitive and corrosive materials:
The roofing will be a specialist heavy-duty architectural membrane with triple UV and pollution protection. The steel body framework can be finished to C5 standard for strong corrosion resistance in high salinity. Additional resistance measures are available, including inner fabric skins for increased protection.
Energy Efficient Harbour Building

Large And Energy Efficient

We can build a port warehouse to any length and height that's clear span and column-free up to 100 metres. You'll be free to use every inch of your valuable ground and air space.
Choosing a light-coloured membrane roof means your building will be naturally lit, reducing electric light usage and boosting worker health and morale. It's also UV and pollution resistant.

Alternatively, opt for a coloured membrane for branding or a blackout membrane to eliminate UV for sensitive material storage.
